ELX master class offerings are subject to sufficient demand. If you are interested in participating in any of our master classes, please use the link provided to express your interest. Once we have enough interest for a particular master class, we will contact you to provide more information, including scheduling and fees.

A master class will be delivered over approximately 90 minutes, including opportunities for networking with the expert advisor and your peers. Inaugural fees are expected to range from $50 to $100 (plus taxes) for each master class.

How to Leverage Your Natural Strengths Through Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is the world’s most widely used personality indicator and psychological assessment. This interactive master class will help participants learn how to leverage their natural strengths and development areas to be more effective in both their personal and professional contexts.

Participants are required to:

  1. Purchase the MBTI booklet (Form M), which will be available at the Ryerson University Campus Store  (17 Gould Street). Approximate cost of booklet is $30.
  2. Complete questions #1–93 of the MBTI booklet (will take approximately 30 minutes to complete) prior to the master class session. After completing these questions, please DO NOT tear open nor self-score the remainder of the assessment.
  3. Bring their MBTI booklet to the master class session.
  4. Attend the duration of the master class (approximately 1.5–2 hours)

Expert Advisor:

Wilson Leung
Wilson teaches leadership at Ryerson University. He is the Chairman and Co-Founder of Thinking Forward, a registered Canadian charity, whose mission is to provide anti-bullying character education for children and youth of inner-city schools in Toronto through arts and leadership training. Wilson holds a doctorate specializing in leadership through which he designed Adaptive Courage, a field-tested model for supporting individuals in managing their leadership fears. He is the author of Everyday Leaders, a leadership facilitator to various organizations, a former director of ministries in church leadership, and a certified practitioner for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.

Adaptive Courage: How to Handle Your Leadership Fears

Using a field-tested model called Adaptive Courage, leaders can manage their fears and become courageous leaders. This interactive master class will support and guide leaders through the process of addressing their leadership fears so that they may lead themselves and their organizations forward.

The media industry is changing rapidly and evolving in unprecedented ways. This master class is a hands-on exploration of media and journalism in a world that demands authenticity, honesty, and empathy. We will explore the following topics: content creation in television and digital culture; the art of interviewing; writing, reporting, hosting, and producing across different platforms; personal branding and reputation; strategies for ethical pitfalls; and the business of media.

Veronica Chail
Veronica is an award-winning Canadian journalist, media personality and the director of creative strategy at EnDesign – a Toronto based 3D production studio. As the former host and producer of Canada’s leading Bollywood TV series – Citytv and OMNI Television’s Bollywood Blvd, Veronica Chail won over audiences with her charismatic personality during her 5 seasons with the iconic show. She has interviewed the biggest stars in Bollywood and Hollywood. Veronica began her media career as a news reporter, news writer and entertainment host at OMNI Television and Citytv. She also shared her creative talent behind the camera as a television producer at the CBC for “The Hour” with George Stroumboulopoulos.

Veronica is a humanitarian at heart and works with various charitable organizations including Covenant House. She is an Ambassador for [free-them] and is dedicated to anti-sex trafficking and human rights initiatives. In addition, Veronica is a fashion enthusiast and is an ambassador for the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA). In 2015, she was honoured with the Media Personality of the Year award at the ANOKHI Awards. Veronica has a BA in English and Political Science and a Masters degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
